All giving with Community Shares of Mid Ohio prioritizes connecting you to the issues and causes you care about most in Columbus and central Ohio. We’re here to help you find the local nonprofits providing programs and services you want to support in your community.
Community Shares makes it easy to donate to any of our member nonprofits through your paycheck at work.
- Pay in installments: You can make a larger donation because you pay through installments from each paycheck. For example, a pledge of $250 equals $10 per paycheck when paid bi-weekly (26 paychecks).
- No impact on your cash flow: The donation is deducted from your paycheck before it’s deposited, so there is no need to worry about your cash flow. You don’t have to worry about when deductions will hit your bank account unlike traditional monthly giving.
- No impact on your credit score: Since the donation is deducted from your paycheck, there is no charge to your credit card, and it won’t affect your credit score or incur late fees.
- One and done: You can select one or multiple nonprofits once a year during sign up. There is no need to re-enter your information into online donation forms for each nonprofit.
You complete an annual pledge form, and the donations are deducted from your paycheck. The funds are processed by Community Shares and distributed to the member nonprofits. Check if Community Shares is available at your workplace or discover how to offer Community Shares at your workplace.
